Subject: Grit in Cocoa?
I use Hersey Cocoa Powder and notice tiny grit the last few swigs. I
googled but didn't find anything. Anyone else notice this? Like in clam
chowder but tinier.

That brings back a very old memory that may not even be valid:
I have no idea if what you are experiencing relates to this, but I
remember seeing a made for TV tour of the Hershey's plant where they
showed some of the cocoa beans being "conched" (crushed?) between two
large granite stones like those used in old flour mills.  I believe they
said at the time that this was the process for making Hershey's Kisses,
but it could be used for more of their product line.

Maybe if you googled <hersHey's cocoa powder>.  The "grit" you find
probably has to do with your heating milk to too high a temperature.
